Celebration of the Centennial of Chairman Mao Tse-tung
"Maoism, embodying itself within the peoples of the world, is marching unstoppably to command the new great wave of the world proletarian revolution."

Chairman Gonzalo, Great Leader of the Party and the revolution, continuator of Marx, Lenin and Chairman Mao Tse-tung, established in his historic and masterful speech of September 24 that shines defiantly before the world: "Next year will be the one hundredth anniversary of the birth of Chairman Mao Tse-tung. We must celebrate these 100 years! And we are organizing it with the Communist Parties. We want a new manner, a celebration that will be the conscious comprehension of the importance of Chairman Mao in the world revolution and we shall begin the celebration this year and we shall finish it the next. It will be a grand process of celebration." The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Peru, with profound Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, Gonzalo Thought conviction, is assuming this transcendental and strategic task with firmness and Communist resolution. We are convoking the Peruvian proletariat and people and in unison the Communist Parties, the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement, the international proletariat and the oppressed peoples and nations of the world to develop it and complete it, hoisting to the top the great red flag of "LONG LIVE MAOISM!" intimately and indissolubly linked to the campaign "Defend the Life of Chairman Gonzalo!"
In its incessant struggle to pass from the kingdom of necessity to the kingdom of liberty, humanity has generated the working class and this, with its inexhaustible and growing force, has given us Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, principally Maoism, with which we shall storm the heavens. This highest peak of Marxism was established by Chairman Mao Tse-tung who was born on December 26, 1893, the son of peasants. Later he studied to become a teacher and became a great organizer of peasants and youth in Hunan, his native province; founder of the Communist Party of China and the Red Army of Workers and Peasants, he established the path of surrounding the cities from the countryside and developed the people’s war, and with it the military theory of the proletariat; theoretician of New Democracy, he founded the People’s Republic, impelled the development of socialism and led the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution. These are milestones, which stake out a life totally and completely dedicated to revolution.
The First Congress of the Party agreed that the principal thing in Gonzalo thought is having defined Maoism as the new, third and superior stage, because Chairman Mao Tse-tung has developed Marxism in each of its three integral parts: Marxist philosophy, political economy and scientific socialism, therefore making a universally valid development. Similarly Chairman Gonzalo has masterfully established that what is fundamental in Maoism is political power. "Power for the Proletariat, power for the dictatorship of the Proletariat, power based on an armed force led by the Communist Party", and he defines that "Maoism is the elevation of Marxism-Leninism to a new, third, and superior stage in the struggle for the democratic revolution, the development of the construction of socialism and the continuation of the revolution under the proletarian dictatorship as a proletarian cultural revolution, when imperialism deepens its decomposition and revolution has become the main tendency of history, amidst the most complex and largest wars seen to date and the implacable struggle against contemporary revisionism." Further ahead, with profound historic vision, he establishes that Maoism marches to command the new great wave of the world proletarian revolution that is coming, which is irresistible and which no force in the world shall be capable of containing.
Chairman Gonzalo, upholding, defending and applying the universal truth to our concrete reality, has generated Gonzalo Thought, the all-powerful weapon that guides the invincible People’s War. Under the guidance of the heroic combatant, the Communist Party of Peru, and the Great Leadership of Chairman Gonzalo, the New State is flourishing, sustained by the People’s Liberation Army, and through hard battles it is on the path of realizing our immediate goal: The conquest of power countrywide, establishing the People’s Republic of Peru. Two paths face our country: One is murky, the bureaucratic path which is sinking in the worst crisis in history and which shall be totally demolished in the midst of the genocide with which it defends itself like a mortally wounded beast; the other path, the democratic path, is the path of light and hope which has begun to develop as the people’s path of liberation. Thirteen years of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, Gonzalo Thought people’s war, which since 1991 has been in the strategic equilibrium, clearly show to the world and principally to the Peruvian people that the Peruvian state is in essence a paper tiger and that the people are assuming more and more the task of preparing the strategic offensive through building the conquest of power with their own hands. It is precisely the Party, leading the People’s Liberation Army, that has just finished achieving an all-around success with the culmination of the First Campaign of "In Defense of the Leadership Against the Genocidal Dictatorship", showing in an obvious way the greatness of the VI and penultimate military plan of Building the Conquest of Power within the IV Strategic Plan of Development of the People’s War to Conquer Power.
From the above it follows, we reiterate, that the celebration of the Chairman Mao Centennial is a necessity, it is of historical transcendence, it has a profound strategic content, it is a glorious task corresponding to the strategic offensive of the world revolution and the new great wave of the world proletarian revolution, and it is inextricably linked with the campaign to Defend the Life of Chairman Gonzalo. We shall cover the Earth with waving red flags which, hoisting to the top the slogan LONG LIVE MAOISM, blaze jubilantly to salute the birth of Chairman Mao Tse-tung, great titan of thought and action, an unfading light whose life beat to its end with the imperishable light of Marxism, with the omnipotent creative force of the masses and the spirit of serving the people.
This celebration serves the International Communist Movement and the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement. Since Marx we know that Marxism has never taken a step in its life without struggle, defeating ideologies foreign to the class and combating and crushing the old and modern revisionism in the tempest of the international class struggle. This is how it has been forged and developed more powerfully, unconquered and unwithering as the always-living Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, principally Maoism. Thus, the Communists, the proletariat, the revolution, and Marxism-Leninism-Maoism face complex situations, specifically since Gorbachev and Teng headed up a new counterrevolutionary, revisionist offensive against Marxism and the revolution. Afterwards, in the midst of the collusion and contention of the two superpowers, this ensued into a new counterrevolutionary offensive in which imperialism, revisionism and world reaction converged, today resulting in a general counterrevolutionary offensive which attempts to exorcize revolution as the principal tendency, historically and politically. It is an offensive headed up by Yankee imperialism in its condition as the sole hegemonic power and big policeman, a rotten giant with feet of clay; a general counterrevolutionary offensive which aims to negate the ideology of the class through dark monstrosities like "the obsolescence of Marxism", "the failure of socialism", "the totalitarianism of the dictatorship of the proletariat", the "uselessness of the Communist Party" all of which demonstrate the theoretical and practical impotence of the bourgeoisie. Only in their drunken binge as arrogant victor and in their anti-historical dreams can they raise their rotten and ragged banners of neoliberalism, bourgeois democracy and eclectic and idealistic pragmatism. Thus, this general counterrevolutionary offensive is destined to fail and is no more than a prologue to a new development and advance of Marxism. Marxism-Leninism-Maoism is the sole, undefeated and unwithering ideology of the proletariat. From this it follows that upholding, defending and applying Marxism-Leninism-Maoism is decisive to develop the world proletarian revolution, demolish imperialism and international reaction and crush revisionism; and to be a Marxist today is to be a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, principally Maoist.
The celebration of the centennial is also based on the grand experience of the campaign unfurled for the 90th anniversary established by Chairman Gonzalo, which demands of us that we be more sagacious, more firm and more demanding with ourselves by applying: Wage the battle and you shall know how it ends. Thus it follows that we must strengthen all our actions guided by Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, Gonzalo Thought and principally develop the People’s War with ever more elevated plans and higher warlike actions, tensing all our forces, totally and completely fulfilling the task which our Chairman Gonzalo has established. We are plainly convinced that it shall be an indelible milestone in our revolution and the world revolution, serving to put Maoism as the command and guide of the world revolution and to defend the Great Leadership, victoriously unfolding the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, Gonzalo Thought counteroffensive, which shall crush the general counterrevolutionary offensive headed up by Yankee imperialism, the most ferocious and insolent of the imperialists, whose essence as a paper tiger shall once more be made evident.
The Communist Party of Peru greets the international proletariat, the peoples and oppressed nations of the Earth; it expresses its greeting and appreciation to the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement which, fulfilling its role as a step forward in the reconstitution of the International Communist Movement, is carrying out the campaign in defense of the life of Chairman Gonzalo under a very expressive slogan "Move heaven and earth to defend the life of Chairman Gonzalo!" along with the Communist Parties, the revolutionary and popular organizations, the international proletariat and the different peoples of the globe, through demonstrations and militant actions which grow ever more powerful, showing that Maoism is being embodied more and more in the peoples of the world and that it "marches unstoppably to command the new great wave of the world proletarian revolution." We Communists have always struggled to unite ourselves, so let this Celebration serve to unite us more, taking as a basis for unity Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, the world proletarian revolution and the implacable fight against revisionism. In synthesis: Unite under MAOISM!
Finally, in celebrating the Centennial of Chairman Mao Tse-tung with profound Communist conviction, we reaffirm ourselves in our solemn promise to Uphold, defend and apply Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, principally Maoism! and struggle untiringly to help place it as the command and guide of the world revolution, the sole reddest and unfading flag which is the guarantee of victory for the proletariat, the oppressed nations and the peoples of the world in their inexorable march towards the golden and always shining Communism.
